XplorStem is excited to announce a new partnership with Outschool (https://outschool.com) to provide career-focused online science lessons and camps! XplorStem classes and summer camps will be offered starting June 2024. Through Outschool’s virtual platform, XplorStem will be able to reach students around the world and provide real-world science lessons and activities at the elementary and high school levels!
XplorStem’s career-focused classes cover NGSS standards and lead students through the scientific method including a hands-on experiment. From becoming a chemist to a geophysicist, students will be exposed to diverse concepts and professions in the sciences. Students will also gain access to XplorStem’s NSF-funded online application that uses short-format videos and interactive question-and-answer sessions to teach key concepts. This incorporates learnings from XplorStem’s viral science TikTok channel: https://www.tiktok.com/@xplorstem.
XplorStem classes go live on June 10th. Classes will be held online and led by XplorStem instructors. During the class, students will be led through hands-on experiments using supplies commonly found in the home while learning key scientific concepts. Learnings will be reinforced by completing the XplorStem Academy online lesson which is included with class registration.
